If you receive the error “A potentially dangerous Request.Path value was detected from the client (&) ” don’t panic and do not waste your time at all because this error occurs when you pass any special character like “&” in your http request or URL.

You can fix this error either by encoding your URL or by modifying your web.config file as:


<httpRuntime requestPathInvalidCharacters="" requestValidationMode="2.0" />

<pages validateRequest="false" />


I would avoid using characters like ‘&’ in URL path replacing them with underscores.
